Air Pollution Kills More People Than Smoking

In July 2015, the Mayor of London Boris Johnson released a report that estimated that a total of 9,400 deaths in
London in 2010 were attributable to long-term exposure to air pollution of dangerous airborne particles (PM2.5)
and the toxic gas NO2.. This compares with 8,400 deaths a year in London from smoking.
